Meningitis adalah satu penyakit melibatkan keradangan pada selaput otak dan saraf tunjang. Penyakit meningitis boleh disebabkan oleh jangkitan virus, bakteria atau kulat.

Demam Kuning

Demam kuning adalah satu penyakit teruk yang boleh membawa kematian. Ia disebarkan oleh nyamuk aedes jenis aegypti yang menyebabkan demam denggi di Malaysia. Nyamuk ini biasanya menggigit pada waktu siang.Virus demam kuning adalah dari kumpulan keluarga virus flaviviridae. Kumpulan virus ini mengandungi lebih 70 jenis yang berlainan di mana kebanyakannya adalah virus bawaan serangga. Pathogen lain dari kumpulan ini termasuk virus denggi, yang mudah didapati di kawasan tropika dan ia menjadi penyebab jangkitan penyakit yang teruk dan kadar kematian tinggi di Negara Asia Timur, Tengah serta Amerika Selatan.

Antraks

Antraks adalah sejenis penyakit yang disebabkan kuman / bakteria yang membentuk spora, bernama bacillus anthracis. Kebanyakannya menjangkiti haiwan tetapi boleh menyebabkan demam yang serius kepada manusia sekiranya terdedah kepada spora ini. Ia menyerang kulit, usus atau paru-paru.
