Proper Hand Washing

Introduction

Your hands may look clean but doesn’t necessarily mean they are. Wash hand properly and thoroughly with soap and water:

  • Before and after handling food
  • After using the toilet
  • After handling food waste
  • After blowing your nose
  • After handling toxic and dangerous material

Wash hands with soap to remove gems and dirt.

How do I do proper hand washing.

Seven (7) steps to good hand washing:

  • Wash hands with sufficient soap and clean water
  • Scrub your palms
  • Scrub each and every fingers and areas between them
  • Scrub your nail on your palm
  • Scrub the back of your hands
  • Rinse your hands with sufficient clean water thoroughly
  • Dry your hand with a clean towel or hair dryer
